PC Based Remote Control

EASY TO OPERATE, EXTREMELY RELIABLE

  • ONE PERSON can run MULTIPLE TRAILS with multiple HEDCO's on each.
  • Make the MAXIMUM POSSIBLE AMOUNT OF SNOW at all times, without waiting for someone to adjust each machine.
  • Snow quality adjustments can be made quickly, and remotely, with the click of a mouse.
  • The HEDCO snowmaker is easy to operate and ALWAYS HAS MANUAL CONTROL. If adjustments are made at the snowmaker, the base station is updated instantly.
  • Warm up is done in advance, so each machine is started when the water is hooked up.
  • You only need one person with limited experience to oversee multiple slopes. That person only touches the machine once when it is set up, and once when it is shut down. It is a HEDCO, and it will not plug up or freeze up.
  • For example: an operator remotely warms up the snowmaking machines, and then someone goes to each one to hook up the water and set the direction. The whole slope can be done quickly, at a few minutes per snowmaking machine. Then all adjustments can be made by the operator at the base station as the conditions change, providing the BEST POSSIBLE OUTPUT AT ALL TIMES. Your highly experienced snowmaker is at either the base station, or radioing in the adjustments. The junior snow maker is visiting the trail as needed, watching many machines spread in many locations.

Characteristics

  • There is no additional infrastructure cost after $1,000 for one base station. The base station connects to any Windows XP laptop or desktop.
  • Control and Monitoring of entire machine:
    Compressor
    Fan
    Nozzle Heaters
    Nucleation Heaters
    Three water valves for a true 20 - 100 g.p.m., or 40 - 200 g.p.m., with the same machine.
    Interface for electric hydrant
Dry bulb temperature reading for each machine
  • The snowmaker can always be controlled manually, even if the remote system fails. Remote control and monitoring happen behind the scenes. There is no special training for those in the field or at the base station
  • Proven Hardware with years of high reliability and dependability behind every component
  • Power failures and lost communication are handled easily and smoothly.
  • Communication is based on a simple self-networking radio connection. Each machine automatically appears on the network.
  • Full logging of snowmaking in a Microsoft Access format database
  • 12 mile line of site range for radio link, as well as additional repeaters where needed.
